Indications/Uses
Supportive treatment where standard surgical techniques are insufficient for improvement of haemostasis (including endoscopic treatment of bleeding gastroduodenal ulcer); as tissue glue to promote adhesion/sealing or as suture support.
For epilesional use. Individualised dosage. Usual range: 0.5-4 mL. May require ≥10 mL for some procedures eg, liver traumata, sealing of large burned surfaces. Initial vol should be sufficient to entirely cover the intended application area. Repeat application if necessary.
Immediately discontinue administration if hypersensitivity occurs. Life-threatening thromboembolic complications may occur if unintentionally applied intravascularly. Sufficiently protect/cover parts of the body outside the desired application area to prevent tissue adhesion at undesired sites. Administration in the endoscopic treatment of GI bleedings can cause tissue damage, which can lead to formation of intramural haematoma. Possibility of transmitting infective agents. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn & adolescents.
